Bike in Cyprus

Following the recommendation of the first meeting of the Helsinki Group in November 1999,
a national Steering Committee was set up in Cyprus with participants from research institutes,
higher education organizations and the public sector. Specifically, the members of the
Committee are:
???? The National Official on Women and Science
???? Officer of the Research Promotion Foundation
???? Representatives of the Statistical Service of the Republic
???? The Director of the State General Laboratory
???? Representative of the Institute of Neurology and Genetics
The Steering Committee met three times so far. Its first task was the collection of all data
readily available in Cyprus on women and science, in order to evaluate the current
involvement of women in research and draw appropriate conclusions
